4 | medium onions, coarsely chopped | ||

1 | Tablespoon | brown sugar | |

1 | can | (14.5 ounces) chopped tomatoes, drained | |

|||
1/4 | cup | Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 | |
|
|||
2 | Tablespoons | spicy brown mustard | |
|
|||
Salt, to taste | |||

2 | Tablespoons | chopped pickled hot peppers | |
|
Cook onions in oil in large skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until soft and lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
Stir in sugar and continue to cook 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown. Stir in tomatoes, Jack Daniel's and mustard. Increase heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until thickened.
Season with salt. Stir in hot peppers. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
